for those of you unaware, i have spent the last month or so in the grip of the tennis sports anime, prince of tennis. in the process, i have been severely harmed by the rotational ability of sports violence as a language of love to the point i spend 6 hours a day thinking about tennis. there's probably like 300 episodes, it's kinda insane, but here's a breakdown of my faves for reference sake. they feature important arcs but also some fillers i really loved.

• the most powerful! atobe & sanada + baker's scenario + tango towards destruction
  • honestly the only anime only ending i paid attention to, because atosana is fun. tango towards destruction is a particular favourite kek
• eternal rivals, momoshiro v kaido
  • MOMOKAI MOMENCE.
• tezuka kunimitsu vs fuji shusuke + seriousness in the third year + climax
  
  • like, fujitez if you go there but personally i was just vibing along to fuji momence 
• National OVA's
  • i think the OVAs are so epic in general... like i don't know where to begin with how much i love them? favourite eps of OVAs are the fourth counter, kikumaru all alone, the prince of beach volleyball, heart not giving in, tezuka kunimitsu, two of us, deathmatch - king vs prince, and all of shiten + rikkai!!! also the powers animation get so much more epic in ovas sanada v tezuka GRILLED me. 
• another story: messages from past & future + the times we shared
  • ALL THE EPISODES HERE ARE THE BEST TO MEEEEEEEEEE. SOOOOOOO MANY THINGS. momokai captaincy inheritance, KIRIHARA BEBBY MOMENT!!!!!!!!! zaizen recruitment... TWO WINGS BACK STORY.. jirobun!!!!!! <3

if you don't watch the 1st stringers arc, shinteni was soooooooooo good to me. mostly for sanada leadership arc + UMMMMM SNYK TERROR. and SHIRAAKA terror. and PRINCE OF SECRETS WAS SOOOO FUNNY.
